Properties by the piste
There was a time when only the rich and famous could afford to own a property in a ski resort. However, these days you need to look a little further in the field than the traditional ski spots in France and Italy for a bargain.
Located in the Pirin mountains about 160 kilometres from Sofia is Bansko. With more than 900 metres above sea-level, Bansko is the most modern ski centre with 64 kilometres of runs in Bulgaria. Among all the Bulgarian ski resorts, it has the best snow record and the longest ski season from the months of December to April and has earned a huge amount of investment over the past few years.
Bulgarian builder and developer HHB Holiday Homes has offered 70 studios and apartments at the Pinewood Ski Lodge and Health Spa which is at the foot of the mountain and a five-minute walk to the Gondola and the forest.
According to the Managing Director of HHB Holiday Homes, Stephen Dainty: “This will be one of the last opportunities to purchase off-plan apartments at these prices in such a fantastic location close to the forest and within easy walking distance to the Gondola.”
Prices at Pinewood start from £28,000 for a studio, about £48,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and for a two-bedroom apartment, it is from £85,000.
