Where do the experts think will be hot in overseas property in 2007?
Although Bulgaria is gaining so much attention from the overseas property market because of its highly anticipated EU membership, a recent report from investment specialists Assetz says that Bulgaria is not considered to be a leader in the list of the hottest property markets in 2007.
In spite of the fact that Bulgaria will receive its long anticipated accession into the EU, the investment specialists believe that the country’s real estate market will take a hiatus in the next 12 months and that “instant gains are over for the time being”. However, Assetz predicts that investing on Bulgarian homes will still generate huge financial gains.
If buyers are still skeptical about investing on property in Bulgaria, they might want to consider the overseas property market in the UK. Assetz says that 2006 was a year “of strong and sustainable housing market growth in the UK.” It continues that with “lower risk, low purchasing costs and the prospect of self-management, many investors will choose UK buy to let rather than overseas holiday lets in 2007.”
Investors might also want to look at Poland. The country in central Europe is expected to be a hotspot in the overseas property market. Poland is reported to have the best investment potential, considering its continued strong capital growth.
Turkey is also looking good in the real estate market with the recent introduction of mortgages, steady capital growth and increasing interest from British buyers. According to Assetz, Turkey will be one of the world’s top performing overseas real estate markets for the year 2007. Old favorites Spain, France and Cyprus are also predicted to catch some attention from British investors.
