French Alpine property worth a look

The French Alpine property is perfect for skiers who are looking to marry business and pleasure. When the weather heats up, some of the best ski slopes in the world transform, into lush green fields. This makes the French Alpine property and the Alps desirable year-round destinations. With more companies offering property under the leaseback purchasing scheme, buy-to-lets are potentially profitable, and they can be a safe option as well.

Those with big budgets can look at the prestigious ski resort of Courchevel which offers leaseback investment opportunities. This’playground of the rich and famous’ is well known for those looking to combine a buy-to-let purchase with a yearly vacation on the white slopes.

MGM is currently marketing La Padisha, a new apartment complex in the resort. Set for completion near the end of the year 2008, the complex is made up of 38 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments. The cost is anywhere between 650,000 euros for a one-bedroom apartment to 2,537,000 euros for a four-bedroom home.

Properties from from La Padisha will be purchased using Leaseback Partnership. The Leaseback Partnership is a scheme based on the French government’s long-standing initiative to encourage investment in tourist spots and improve France’s economy. With the traditional leaseback scheme, buyers purchase a freehold property and then lease it back to an approved management company for nine or eleven years. MGM on the other hand is offering a 20-year Leaseback Partnership.

“Leaseback Partnership is an innovative scheme which will have special appeal to UK buyers keen to maximise their investment but enjoy using it at them same time,” comments Richard Deans, sales consultant of MGM. “The fact that it is being offered on properties in a residence tipped to become one of the finest in the Alps is an added attraction.”
