Invest in Portuguese golf for year-round returns
Golf enthusiasts around the world must be thrilled to learn that the Portugal property Silver Coast is offering a year round rental at 8 percent yield, strong capital growth and a holiday home in one of Western Europe’s most attractive fresh destinations, reports Assetz, which is launching its new Assetz Portugal divison today.
The target date for the new opening in the Silver Coast is in 2014 when a new airport is scheduled to open in Ota. The Silver Coast, located in an hour’s drive from Lisbon International Airport will now be opened to many opportunities when this airport opens. The Silver Coast will also be open to new tourism, driving up rental demand and carrying greater investment in facilities and infrastructure, which will finally aid the drive up to property prices, reports Assetz Portugal.
Back in 2006, capital growth in Portugal was 7 percent and this is expected to remain stable in the year 2007. There are many good reasons why investors could enjoy a total of 37 percent (a combination of both capital gains and rental income) annual return on cash invested such as the low purchasing costs and the minimum deposit of just 20 percent.
According to Stuart Law, managing director For Assetz, golf resorts make an interesting way of investing a property in Portugal. “Golf resorts are a great way of making a whole rental property investment the whole year round. With the familiarity of short breaks growing huge in European locations in good transport links and the continuation of Portugal as the world’s most sought-after destination, investors are then set to take advantage over the investment proceedings in the next few years.
World-class golfing facilities covers the whole of Portugal as a tourist hot spot, with its wonderful climate, which attracts over five million property investors and families all the year round from different countries around the world. The Silver Coast also boasts of different champion golf courses such as the Praia D’el Rey Golf and Beach Resort, recently voted Best Golf Resort in Europe 2007.
