Portuguese Golf Resorts Driving Investments
Two 18-hole golf courses designed by Nick Faldo and Christy O’Connor Jnr is the principal destination for golf enthusiasts here in Portugal. Located in the new Oceanico Developments’ new five-star Amendoeira resort in the Algrave, this resort will be managed by Troon Golf. The new 64-acre site is scheduled to be finished for Phase One in 2007 and is expected to be completely done by 2008.
The golf resort is located 25 minutes from Faro Airport and serves as the backdrop for the country’s Monchique Mountains and the resort will also include a Portuguese PGA Golf Academy, golf and sports lounge, pro-shop, banquet facilities, newly-developed hi-tech golf stimulator, and even a bar and restaurant.
“We are highly excited about this project with the Oceanico Group,” say Bruce Glasco, Troon Golf Managing Director. “Amendoiera Golf resort will render an experience suitable to golf enthusiasts that will depict our good and quality service.”
Amendoeira offers a range of services for those who would like to invest in this golf property. There is a choice between a four or five-bedroom residences in the villas with a private swimming pool, to three bedroom villas with an optional swimming pool and two to three bedroom apartments with a communal swimming pool. There is still no word on how much these residences cost.
Aside from these, there is also Ready2Invests’ lagoon-side Pinhal Village Portuguese golf resort in the less expensive Silver Coast region, which is located five minutes away from Praia D’El Rey and Bom Sucesso. Features of this resort include the following: golf courts, tennis courts, driving range, spa and a communal swimming pool.
“The thing about Pinhal Village is that it is home to some of the contemporary designs, and spacious villas, which is a very lucrative investment for tourists,” says Alice Crossick, Director of Ready2Invest. “The place is also safe and secure with a mature mortgage.”
There are 54 villas comprising Pinhal Village with a plot size of 526 square-meters, which allows for landscaped gardens and swimming pool. The prices begin at 255,000 euros, much cheaper compared to other golf resorts.
