Alpine town to benefit from improved transport links

Although many people prefer some fun under the sun for summer, there are many who prefer a cooler ski holiday on the piste. Nowadays, there are several ski destinations to choose from. Several ski destinations in Europe have benefited from the recent increase of low cost airline routes. In the past, Ski holidays were exclusive for those who can afford, but the increase in budget airlines have opened up the market.

The new St Pancras International Terminal in London may also positively affect ski tourism. Expected to be completed later this year, the station will become the launch point for Eurotunnel journeys to France. Trains will travel at faster speeds than ever before. On ski season, the station will host a weekly direct service to several destinations like Bourg St Maurice in the Alpines.
