Alpine town to benefit from improved transport links
Although many people prefer some fun under the sun for summer, there are many who prefer a cooler ski holiday on the piste. Nowadays, there are several ski destinations to choose from. Several ski destinations in Europe have benefited from the recent increase of low cost airline routes. In the past, Ski holidays were exclusive for those who can afford, but the increase in budget airlines have opened up the market.
The new St Pancras International Terminal in London may also positively affect ski tourism. Expected to be completed later this year, the station will become the launch point for Eurotunnel journeys to France. Trains will travel at faster speeds than ever before. On ski season, the station will host a weekly direct service to several destinations like Bourg St Maurice in the Alpines.

Britain’s First Green Estate
The planning of the first green estate in the Docklands area of East London in Britain has the whole nation excited. With this comes hope in the improvement of several areas in the country: residents are then able to grow their own food in purpose-built community greenhouses; power their electronics and gadgets with tree branches; fertilize their rubbish and reuse in specially created recycling bins.

Venice Needs “Theme Park” Management
A leading British economist has suggested that the historic city of Venice must be run like a theme park in order to provide enough funds to save it from rising sea levels. John Kay, author of The Truth About Markets, believes that only by converting the city into a Disney-type enterprise can Venice survive the rising waters and its own sinking mass.
